Membership Scholarship Opportunity

As Covid-19 and its impact continue to evolve and develop, we remain focused on the health and safety of our members and communities.

 

The NAHMMA Florida Chapter is committed to our members and is working to provide you with virtual training and webinars to stay connected with the world of hazardous waste and each other.

We are also aware that some local governments may be pulling back on funding due to the results of Coronavirus.

If you need help renewing your membership, please consider applying for a scholarship to cover the $150 annual membership dues for one year.

New Training Opportunities

at The 2021 Melbourne workshop

New to Florida NAHMMA:  HHW Technician Training!

The HHW New Technician Training is an integrated 2-day certificatin covering background knowledge required for proficient HHW operations. 

First day topics covered in classroom setting include introductions to regulations such as Department of Transportation chemical classes; the Hazmat Table and Environmental Protection Agency characteristic waste; lab packing guidelines; safety measures and practices; reuse guidelines and more.  Second day activities involve a tour of the host County's HHW facility; an incompatibility demonstration; hands-on chemical segregation and lab packing practice. 

All of this is administered by highly knowledgeable and experienced NAHMMA members. 

Your staff will not only learn the specificity of HHW practice, but also build a network with those who are well veresed in this unique field.
